what does the “other” catagory on my ipod touch stand for? like what is in there?

the “other” is all the apps that come on it already and you cant get rid of them.
like safari, calculator, etc.
”other” is a category for things that dont have enoguh of that kind to have its own group on your ipod so it says ”other”, it sounds like your ipod can’t recognize that your songs are songs and is placing them in the other part. all my songs and videos doubled on my ipod and the doubles were put in the other part, and then i tried to restore it and that worked, i would try that first.
there will still be some things in the other section after you do that like the first person said
