Update ipod touch to 2.1?

So, I have a good old 1.1.4 jailbroken ipod touch, 8 GB. As more and more things are coming out for the new app store, and less and less for jailbreak, I’m thinking about upgrading to 2.1. Spore origins and the new soccer game look pretty sweet, not to mention the nearly 50 apps I already downloaded free in case I did upgrade and they wouldn’t be free anymore. If I upgraded my touch, I would lose because they were on jailbreak: an awesome U2 theme with all my apps in ( ) like product(RED), a Bono lockscreen, Installer, MXtube, Customize, PocketTouch, Labyrinth, Books, Terminal, iphysics, Wallpaper, Band, MyBattery, Graffiti, Finger run, Jokes, MusicQuiz, Genesis4iphone(no roms), gameboy4iphone(no roms), SNES4iphone(no roms), GPSphone(no roms), NES(never play any of the mario’s on there), and iPowerhour. For all the emulators, I can’t save, so they never get used. The only ones I really use are mybattery to check my battery percent, Band for an inside joke with my cousins at Christmas, MXTube because I downloaded the music videos of a couple songs I couldn’t find anywhere e.g. August and everything after by counting crows and I’ll stick around by Arckid. Also, Customize which is just to check for cool new themes but I could do without it, and PocketTouch to change the volume of music while I’m brushing my teeth.(It changes volume if you move your finger up or down on the screen) The ten bucks for upgrade and money for the two apps isn’t a problem, because I get an iTunes allowance and haven’t bought anything in months. Is it worth it? I’m sorry if that was two long, but I’ve been debating with myself all week. Any and all help appreciated.

Upgrade! 2.1 is way better, I just updated and it is FUN!
I’m going to get the soccer game and spore for my iPod, and eventually replace it with the 2G iPod Touch.
Anyway, I did it, and you should to.
First off, I believe the jailbreak actually works on 2.0. Secondly, I’m sure that those super-cool apps will come out as jailbroken versions in Installer.app, so no need to pay $10 for the upgrade – just be patient.
