You cant…. You can only put the iPod Touch to sleep while playing songs

Actually, you can. Simply press the sleep button. The video may pause when you put the iPod to sleep.
If you want the video to continue playing when you put the iPod to sleep, press the home button twice, then press the play button. All should be well.

you can just press the button on the top left of the ipod but i dont get it you wont be able to see the video!you cant do it if the video is in the video list of the ipod.
